Humble Area
Assistance Ministries

Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) is a non-profit organization created to address the needs expressed by local clergy for a social service agency. The agency provides various kinds of emergency assistance for families experiencing temporary crisis. Services include a resale shop, housing and utility assistance, education assistance, ESL, job placement assistance, and much more. Cash, resale items, toiletries, and food donations are always welcomed.

As a covenant partner with HAAM, Atascocita Methodist focuses on a different need every month to collect and donate.

The HAAM Blitz
Throughout the year, HAAM needs short term volunteer help, usually involving a small group of people. Sometimes, it will be on short notice and will be whoever is available to help at that time. Sometimes, it might be for a morning or afternoon. Please contact Shirley Novotny to be added to this volunteer list.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Orientation is held on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. at the HAAM Social Services Building located at 1302 First Street in Humble. Various HAAM programs can be seen here. Please contact Cathy Schrof, the Volunteer Coordinator, at 281-446-3663, ext. 120 prior to attending the orientation.
